Regenerative Medicine: Stem Cell Therapies and Tissue Engineering for Healing
Keywords:
Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells Tissue, Engineering Therapeutic, ApplicationsAbstract
Regenerative medicine has emerged as a promising field that leverages stem cell therapies and tissue engineering to repair and regenerate damaged tissues and organs. This article explores the role of stem cells in regenerative therapies, with an emphasis on their potential for treating a variety of conditions such as degenerative diseases, injuries, and congenital disorders. Additionally, the article discusses the integration of tissue engineering techniques that combine stem cells with scaffolds to mimic the extracellular matrix for functional tissue regeneration. The therapeutic applications of stem cells, challenges faced in clinical translation, and the future of regenerative medicine in Pakistan are explored. This review provides insights into the evolving landscape of regenerative medicine and highlights its potential for transforming healthcare.
