The Pakistan Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Research (PJAIMR)


1. Archiving Policy

PJAIMR is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of published scholarly content. The journal maintains secure digital backups and archiving systems to ensure permanent access to all published articles. Authors are encouraged to archive their published work in institutional or subject repositories with proper citation.

2. Peer Review Policy

PJAIMR follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and research integrity. Each manuscript is reviewed by independent experts who evaluate the relevance, methodology, ethical compliance, and scientific contribution of the research before editorial decisions are made.

3. Paper Prints Policy

PJAIMR primarily publishes articles online as an open-access journal. However, printed copies of published issues may be provided upon request. Authors or institutions requesting printed copies are responsible for applicable printing and delivery charges.

4. Withdrawal Policy

Authors may request manuscript withdrawal before the completion of peer review. Withdrawal requests after acceptance are only considered in exceptional cases involving ethical, legal, or significant scientific concerns. Unethical withdrawal practices may lead to restrictions on future submissions.

5. Refund Policy

Publication and processing charges are generally non-refundable once the editorial or peer-review process has started. Refunds are only considered in cases of duplicate payments, technical errors, or administrative issues approved by the editorial office.

6. Publication Ethics

PJAIMR follows internationally recognized publication ethics guidelines to maintain integrity, transparency, and academic honesty. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow ethical research and publishing practices throughout the publication process.

7. Plagiarism Policy

PJAIMR maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism and unethical publication practices. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

  • Up to 10% similarity: Acceptable
  • 11% – 20% similarity: Minor Revision Required
  • 21% – 30% similarity: Major Revision Required
  • Above 30% similarity: Automatic Rejection

Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right to publish, archive, and distribute the article. Proper acknowledgment of authorship and original publication must be maintained at all times.

9. Open Access Policy

PJAIMR is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online without subscription or access charges. Readers may read, download, and share content for academic and non-commercial purposes with proper citation.

10. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review, or publication process. Transparency helps maintain fairness and credibility in scholarly publishing.

11. Data Availability Policy

Authors are encouraged to make supporting research data available through recognized repositories whenever applicable. Research data should remain accessible for verification, transparency, and academic reproducibility, subject to ethical and legal limitations.

12. Retraction Policy

PJAIMR reserves the right to retract published articles in cases involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, ethical misconduct, falsified data, or major scientific errors. Retraction notices will be clearly published to maintain the integrity of the academic record.
