These therapies promise enhanced accessibility, affordability, and the ability to offer personalized interventions for individuals worldwide. This article critically examines the growing trend of TDTs in the context of mental health, addressing the potential benefits and challenges, the implications for practitioners, and the ethical considerations surrounding these innovations. It highlights the evolving role of digital platforms in delivering mental health services, the effectiveness of various technologies, and how they reshape traditional therapeutic approaches.
