Integrating Economics and Law in Medical Education: An Urgent Need for Indian Medical Schools

Global supply chains are increasingly pressured to become more transparent, accountable, and sustainable. Traditional systems often lack visibility, making it difficult to trace product origins, prevent fraud, and enforce ethical standards. Blockchain—a decentralized, immutable ledger—offers a transformative solution by providing real-time, tamper-proof records accessible to all stakeholders.This study examines how blockchain enhances transparency and fairness across various industries, focusing on practical applications, adoption levels, and associated challenges in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, retail, automotive, and logistics.A mixed-methods approach was used, including a literature review and a comparative analysis of real-world use cases. Industry reports, case studies, and empirical studies were analyzed to evaluate the implementation and benefits of blockchain in supply chain management.Blockchain adoption has led to increased trust, fraud reduction, and better traceability across all analyzed sectors. However, challenges such as scalability, regulatory uncertainty, and integration costs remain significant barriers to full implementation.Blockchain has the potential to revolutionize supply chains by ensuring transparency and fairness. Its success depends on cross-sector collaboration, regulatory clarity, and advancements in interoperability and scalability.
